Lift A Spirit Foundation is a not-for-profit organization owned and operated by 5th Element Yoga. Lift A Spirit benefits local and international communities in need through fundraising yoga classes, workshops, continuing education for yoga teachers, and yoga product sales. 100% of funds generated through fundraising events are donated to monthly causes, while 10% of web store product sales and 3% of regular class proceeds are also joyfully given to support and lift up the less fortunate.

Interested in checking us out?

Join us for donation based classes and workshops. It’s a great way to meet new people and build our community while helping others. We post new information each month (from September through April each year) about community locals in dire need, charities that lack funding and/or volunteers, and global events that put our human family at risk. All we ask is that you donate a minimum of $5 for each event. After all, what’s $5 if you can afford it? Donations can be made online directly to the chosen cause, or you’re welcome to bring a check payable to the appropriate organization. Can’t afford to donate? Attend our events for free and show your support. We know you’ll donate when you can.

Can’t attend an event but want to help out?

Volunteers Needed

Description – Volunteer Vacations

The Tonto National Forest, rich in history, water, and Sonoran landscapes, is one of the most highly visited recreation forests in the nation. Rich in animal species, deer, javalina, and desert tortoise are residents here. The Pass Mountain Trail and nearby Wind Cave Trail lead the hiker to outstanding vistas. Whether hiking in the Superstition Wilderness, mountain biking in the Hawes area, or kayaking in the Lower Salt River, you will find superb recreational opportunities within a few miles of the trail project. During the springtime wildflowers blanket the hillsides with color, and the Pass Mountain area has one of the most beautiful displays around.

Crew will perform trail maintenance and repair along the northern end of the Pass Mountain Trail located in the Tonto National Forest. Projects include water bar placement, cutting back encroaching vegetation, berm removal and re-grading and clearing drainage systems.

Volunteer Vacations brings together volunteers for week-long trail work projects on America’s public lands. For 30 years, the program has provided critical “sweat equity” and resources to meet the needs of under-funded trail programs and given volunteers memories to last a life-time. Through Volunteer Vacations, American Hiking Society brings hundreds of people together each year from all walks of life for the common cause of building and maintaining hiking trails and caring for their surrounding natural areas. These projects provide the opportunity to explore America’s wild lands while learning and using new skills including trail maintenance techniques, bridge or shelter renovation or construction, and reestablishing native species. For more information on this and all of our other trips visit http://www.americanhiking.org/
